Google recommends what it trusts. So does AI.

SEO and GEO are not two services. They are one job seen from two sides: a well-organized website that machines trust enough to pass on.

Your website has two layers. Both of them sell.

  • H1, H2 - the hierarchy a robot reads like a table of contents.
  • alt - the image description. Without it, the photo does not exist for a model.
  • schema.org - business details handed to machines directly, no guessing.
  • llms.txt - a content map written for language models.
  • canonical - which address is the right one when the same content lives under several.
  • internal links - how a robot moves between pages and works out what matters.

AI does not see your website. AI reads it.

What I do, and in what order

  1. Audit

Speed, structure, content, business details, Google Business Profile and a test on AI models. The result is a list sorted by what brings the most, fastest - not by what is easiest to do.

  2. Technical

Headings without gaps, titles and descriptions, canonical tags, sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt, structured data, Core Web Vitals. The foundation nobody sees and nothing works without.

  3. Content

One page for each customer question. Written so a single sentence can be quoted as the answer, because that is exactly what a model does.

  4. Your business beyond the website

Google Business Profile, the same name, address and phone number in every directory, reviews. A model builds its picture of a business from many sources. One typo in an address can throw it off.

  5. Measurement

Search Console, Umami and regular questions to AI models about your industry. Once a month you get specifics: what moved, what did not and what we do next.

Common questions

What is GEO (generative engine optimization)?

GEO is optimization for AI answers. When someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity for a recommendation, the model does not show ten links. It names a few businesses. GEO is the work that makes yours one of them. The mechanism is the same as in SEO, only the reader changes: a language model instead of a search engine.

How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

A model only knows a small business if it has somewhere to learn about it: a clear website, a Google Business Profile, reviews and the same contact details everywhere. It is not an ad budget. It is order in your data, and that is exactly what I set up.

Is GEO different from the SEO I already pay for?

SEO answers whether Google can find you. GEO answers whether a model can recommend you. Underneath it is one mechanism: trust in your website. That is why I do both on the same website instead of selling them as separate services.
